This was me at the end of the rafting season last summer: brown, crusty and happy as a clam!
I start the 8 hour journey to Pagosa Springs, CO at 5 am tomorrow.
I will FINALLY be back on the river, and FINALLY feel like I’m doing something useful, and maybe I’ll even be so happy that it won’t hurt so bad that my girlfriend is on the other side of the country and can’t go rafting with me (and fifty eighth graders)!
Last day of work before I leave for a rafting trip with 50 middle school kids in Pagosa Springs, CO!
Coffee reunion with a good old friend.
$13 thrift store splurge (new vest, river shorts and jeans!).
Aaaaaaaaand, I feel homesick… for the first time home doesn’t feel like Flagstaff, AZ.
She’s wearing my shoes. I adore those shoes… I literally almost bought a new pair today.

I saw ten baby ducks today. And for the second time in my life felt the exhilaration of falling through air and plunging into water. It was a good day.
